127% Bankroll. Two Positions. Ninety Six Percent Stays Out.
Wednesday produced two wins across two published MLB positions and moved the standardized August bankroll to approximately 127%, another high for the month. August now stands at 49-30 overall. FBS college football joins the research universe Saturday and the NFL continues moving closer. The opportunity set is expanding quickly. Thursday still produces only two MLB positions totaling 4% allocation.
August 26 Review
Two Positions. Two Wins. Another Bankroll High.
Wednesday Results
Cincinnati completed a remarkable ninth inning comeback in San Francisco, while the Athletics defeated Minnesota to win the series.
Both published BrownBagBets positions therefore settled successfully. The standardized bankroll moves from approximately 124% to the supplied operating checkpoint of approximately 127%.
The Board Is About to Get Much Larger
FBS college football begins Saturday. NFL regular season preparation continues behind the scenes.
That will materially increase the number of games and markets available to BrownBagBets.
Today's MLB Card
Two Positions. Four Percent Deployed.
Kansas City Royals at Toronto Blue Jays
Kansas City sends Noah Cameron against Spencer Arrighetti. Cameron enters 8-8 with a 4.02 season ERA, but his recent form is substantially stronger than the full season number suggests.
Cameron has allowed very little damage during his latest stretch, including four scoreless outings across his last six starts. His recent contact profile has improved at the same time.
Toronto counters with Arrighetti, who is making only his second appearance for the Blue Jays after returning from injury. His first produced three earned runs in 3.1 innings, and his larger profile includes elevated walk and expected run prevention numbers.
Kansas City's current lineup has also been productive against right-handed pitching and enters with several of its most important bats performing well. At -110, the price does not require us to pay a significant favorite premium for the starting pitching advantage.

Arizona Diamondbacks at San Francisco Giants
Arizona enters 71-63 against a San Francisco club sitting 54-79. The Diamondbacks have also controlled this matchup throughout the season, winning eight of the first nine meetings entering this series.
The Giants turn again to Landen Roupp. Roupp enters 7-13 with a 4.34 ERA and has gone 0-5 with a 6.20 ERA across his last five starts.
San Francisco has also struggled more broadly, entering Thursday 3-7 over its last ten games and 11-19 over its last thirty.
At -108, Arizona is available at essentially an even-money price despite the substantial difference between the two teams' season profiles and Roupp's current form.

- San Francisco Recent Form

Allocation Is Information
Both teams are official positions.
They are not equally trusted.
Kansas City receives 3% because the starting pitcher matchup, recent form, opponent starter condition and price create a deeper evidence stack.
Arizona receives only 1% because its own starting pitcher introduces substantial uncertainty despite several favorable team-level indicators.
The wager percentage should tell the reader something that the pick itself cannot.
What Comes Next
Saturday the Research Universe Expands Again.
College Football Arrives
FBS Week Zero begins Saturday, adding another live research environment alongside MLB and the English Premier League.
Early-season football will begin with a smaller current-season evidence base than MLB. That uncertainty should be visible in both market selection and allocation.
NFL Preparation Continues
NFL work remains underway before regular-season capital is deployed.
BrownBagBets continues reviewing prior-season decisions, indicators, prices and outcomes so the new season does not begin from assumptions that were never challenged.
