Yesterday Was Not Ideal.

A 3–4 day rarely is.

And we’ll address it directly — because that’s how this community operates.

Our EPL results are becoming the bane of our existence right now. Since our EPL expert resigned, we’ve been piecing together positions internally. The effort is real. The results are not where they need to be.

Starting a day with two EPL losses totaling 5% exposure is never going to make things easy. That stretch dictated the outcome. When the dust settled, February moved from strength to 116%.

Still well ahead of where we began the month.
But below our standard.

Transparency First

We are actively hiring an EPL expert.

If you believe you are the right person to lead that vertical, email: info@brownbagbets.com

  • Your resume
  • 500 words or fewer on why you are the right fit

We don’t patch weaknesses. We build them correctly.
That is the BrownBagBets doctrine.

Bankroll Perspective

A drop from 122% to 116% can feel larger than it is. Zoom out.

We are still materially positive. We still have five betting days remaining in February. The structure remains intact.

This is why allocation discipline matters. High-tier exposure without edge clarity creates volatility. And until our EPL model returns to expert-level calibration, caution will replace aggression in that league.

This isn’t retreat. It’s intelligent contraction.

Survival and capital protection always precede expansion.

The Goal Remains the Same

Win the month. Debit the profit above 100%. Repeat.

January didn’t get us there. But February has put us back on track toward the consistency we demonstrated in 8 of 12 months in 2025. That’s the standard.

We are not chasing perfect weeks. We are building repeatable months.

Lessons in Real Time

Every betting vertical requires:

  • Domain expertise
  • Market fluency
  • Pattern recognition repetition
  • Context familiarity

When one of those pillars weakens, edge compression follows. This is why Pattern Walk exists — to force structured evaluation over emotional reaction. But expertise still matters. Markets punish partial knowledge.

So we adjust. We scale responsibly. We hire deliberately. We protect the bankroll.

Five Days Left

Five days to finish February correctly.

At 116%, we are still positioned to:

  • Protect gains
  • Select spots carefully
  • Avoid forcing volume
  • Close the month profitably

Storms happen. Structure remains. Let’s close this month the right way.
