June Starts With a Small Punch
June Starts With a Small Punch. Good.
The first day of a new cycle does not need to be perfect. It needs to be honest. Yesterday was a clean reminder that the reset is real, the bankroll matters, and the process starts over.
The Reset Means the Reset
Yesterday was not complicated.
We went 0–1. The Chase Burns strikeout prop was pulled before it ever started, so that position never played. The Nationals lost. We lost the 2% tied to that play.
June bankroll now sits at 98%.
And honestly? That is fine.
This Is Why the Monthly Reset Matters
May closed at 145%. Profits were debited. The account reset. June began clean.
That means June does not get to live off May’s momentum. It has to earn its own month. That is the point of the process.
The reset removes ego. It removes emotional carryover. It forces the same discipline that built March, April, and May to show up again from zero.
Yesterday’s Card Is Logged Cleanly
Today connects back to the June 1 card as the ledger begins its new operating cycle. The result is recorded exactly as it happened: one graded play, one voided prop, and a small early-month drawdown.

Full graded card: 0–1. Net result: -2% bankroll loss.
Nothing to dress up. Nothing to overreact to. The first day of June put us at 98%, and now the cycle continues.
Profits Were Withdrawn. Now June Has to Build Its Own Case.
This is one of the most important parts of the BrownBagBets framework.
When a month succeeds, the goal is not to keep pressing forever. The goal is to debit the profit, reset the bankroll, and begin the next month with structure.
March closed at 134%. April closed at 114%. May closed at 145%. Each successful month produced actual passive-income cash flow because profits were taken out of the betting account.
The reset is not a weakness. It is the mechanism that turns a profitable month into a repeatable operating cycle.
MLB Carries the Board for Now
For the moment, MLB is front and center.
That changes soon. Stanley Cup Final action comes to the card starting tomorrow with Game 1, and the NBA Finals are right behind it.
But today is not about anticipating tomorrow’s board. Today is about handling the board in front of us.
One play. One exposure number. No need to manufacture more.

Back at It Does Not Mean Forcing It
A small loss to open the month can tempt bettors into doing the exact wrong thing: trying to win the loss back immediately.
That is not the framework.
The correct response is boring: record the result, update the bankroll, evaluate the next board, and only deploy exposure where the structure supports it.
Today, that means one MLB play at 3%.
